Juries Selected In Two Upshur County Trials

GILMER -- Juries were selected in 115th District Court Monday for two unrelated felony trials, Upshur County District Attorney Billy Byrd said Tuesday.
Testimony is scheduled to open at 9 a.m. Thursday in the case of Andrew Lee Robinson of Hawkins, charged with felony theft, Byrd said.
Testimony is set to begin at 9 a.m. July 20 in the trial of Mark Lindsey McKinley, charged with assault/family violence with prior conviction, the district attorney said.
Robinson, 41, of Hawkins, is charged with stealing more than $1,500 cash from an individual at a Big Sandy business Jan. 13, Byrd said. Assistant District Attorney Edward Choy will prosecute the case, and court-appointed Gilmer attorney Brandon Winn represents Robinson.
McKinley, 39, of Big Sandy, is accused of assaulting his wife at his home March 1, Byrd said.
Assistant District Attorney Becky Ojeman will prosecute that case, and court-appointed Longview attorney Charles Van Cleef represents McKinley.
