The Women's Fund, which recently celebrated its fifth anniversary, is committed to maximizing the effect of women's philanthropy by pooling resources to provide grants to local organizations benefiting women and children in the community. The group's four areas of focus are education, health issues, human services, art and culture. In its first four years, the group awarded more than $400,000 in grants to 12 initiatives through Smith County organizations.
