Longview Man Charged With Hit-And-Run Assault Overnight In Tyler
Tyler police responded to the 13th Step Tattoo business, located at 2119 E. Fifth St., around 1:50 a.m. today on a report of a pedestrian hit and run assault.

Officers were told that Roderick Lattrete Brazzle, 31, of Longview, had met a female friend at the tattoo business around 1:45 a.m. to assist her with getting a tattoo.

Brazzle and the owner of the business got into an argument while discussing the details of the tattoo, police said. Brazzle and the owner stepped outside the business, where he pushed Brazzle and told him to leave the business. Brazzle got into his Hummer H3 and drove it towards the owner and two other people standing in front of the business, police said. Brazzle struck three victims and ran into the front of the business, causing property damage, according to police.

Two people, a 26-year-old woman and a 24-year old man, were taken to a local hospital and treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

Police located Brazzle at Loop 323 and Highway 31 East in his vehicle shortly after the incident. Brazzle was arrested and charged with three counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon (the vehicle). Brazzle was transported to Smith County Jail and booked in.
