Support Dewhurst, June 17
Politics for me as has always meant working very hard for the election of the most qualified candidates.
This involves my emotions but mostly involves a great deal of research to obtain the best available information about the individual. Thankfully, in 2012 much more information is available. I can overlook general statements like “proven conservative” or “most conservative” and go directly to the resume’ and voting record of the candidates and decide for myself. You can do this also.

Secondly, in order to have unity for the important issues on which we agree we affirm those who are willing to offer themselves and their ideas as candidates. We listen to candidates and their ideas and either reject or vote for them. Hopefully, we do not make personal attacks on them or their supporters.

As Texas Republican Party Chairman Steve Munisteri said at the Republican State Convention, “Our party was founded on Judeo-Christian ethics; so try to treat our fellow Republicans kindly.”

I vote for Republicans, not against Republicans, but I have to make a choice and I have chosen David Dewhurst for U.S. Senate because he has an outstanding conservative record.
