Human Remains Found In Henderson County; Further Testing Ordered
Henderson County Sheriff’s Office authorities are investigating human remains discovered in the woods outside of Tool Monday.
According to a news release issued by the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies received a report of what is tentatively identified as human skeletal remains in the 10000 block of County Road 2448, also known as Flagg Lake Road. Investigators were able to determine that a skull found at the scene was human, according to the release.

Precinct 2 Justice of the Peace Dale Blaylock sent the remains to the University of North Texas Forensic Anthropology Lab in Denton and the Southwestern Institute of Forensic Science in Dallas as well, according to the release.
Numerous bone fragments and pieces were recovered from the scene, according to the release, many of which are believed to be human“Specific details of the case will remain undisclosed until further information is gathered from forensic anthropologists,” the release states.
