Fire Destroys Mobile Home, Spreads To Vehicle, Enclosure
Authorities are investigating the cause of a Saturday afternoon fire that destroyed a mobile home in Lakeway Harbor area.
Firefighters from Noonday and Flint-Gresham volunteer fire departments were summoned around 1:30 p.m. to a home in the 2300 block of Wateridge Loop.
"When we arrived it was fully involved," Noonday Assistant Chief Jonathan McClish said. "We started with an attack line, high pressure, and got it knocked down pretty fast -- most of the house collapsed."
The fire also consumed a vehicle that had been sitting in the front yard and a nearby enclosure, officials said.
No injuries were reported, but firefighters struggled in the heat.
"People were getting overheated," McClish said. "No other homes were affected."
Officials have not determined a cause.
