2 Union Pacific Train Cars Jump Track In Mineola
Two cars on a Union Pacific train jumped the tracks in downtown Mineola Saturday evening, causing blockage to three main roadways.
Steve Finley, of the Mineola Fire Department, said no one was hurt and no cars derailed were tipped over. The only serious concern is the blocked roadways.

The cause is yet to be determined, but train derailments are not uncommon, Finley said. However, officials do not suspect mischievous activity to be involved.
As of Saturday night, the cars had been removed from the tracks, opening up U.S. Highway 69. Officials continued to work the scene.
