Summer’s finally here, and that means no school, high temperatures outside and the need for a way to keep the kiddos from melting. Thankfully, there are plenty of options around Tyler and East Texas.
The Tyler Parks and Recreation Department will open the Woldert Pool and Sprayground and the Fun Forest Pool and Sprayground on Saturday, June 2 at 1 p.m.
Both pools will be open through Aug. 11 and will have trained lifeguards on duty.
Before they are allowed to enter the pool, all children under the age of 18 must be registered with the pool manager by their parent or legal guardian. Pool registration will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. May 29 through June 1 and during regular pool hours beginning June 2.
Fun Forest Pool is at 900 N. Glenwood Blvd. Admission is free and hours of operation are: Sunday and Monday, closed; Tuesday through Thursday, 1 to 6 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, 1 to 7 p.m. Lap swim is held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 to 8 p.m.
