UPDATE: Woman, Baby Escape Serious Injury After Car Crashes, Catches Fire

A woman and her baby were able to escape serious injury this morning after the car the woman was driving went off Farm to Market Road 16 near Lindale and caught fire.
The woman was able to get herself and the baby out of and away from the car before it caught fire, fire officials said.
The woman was removed to an area hospital for treatment, and the baby was picked up at the scene by family members.
