Brilliant Man, May 20
ROSES: Bushels and bushels of roses to U.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert. In a world in which politics can be mean and politicians reduced to attack ads, I am so grateful to be represented by this brilliant and principled man. The positions he stands for are thoughtful and steeped in the constitutional history of this country and those positions flow from the heart of who he is — a man of integrity.
I recently watched as Congressman Gohmert held 91 students spellbound in the House chamber as he explained with passion the character of John Adams and Ben Franklin and how their leadership guided the course for this country in its infancy. As I listened, I couldn’t help but think that this amazing man, our congressman, is rightly following in their footsteps. I offer roses, and my heartfelt thanks, for his leadership.
