Back Entrance Of Courthouse Open For First Time Since 2005
For the first time since the February 2005 shooting at the Smith County Courthouse, the back entrance of the building has been opened for public access, according to Smith County Sheriff's Department Chief Deputy Bobby Garmon.
Due to multiple trials going on today, the lone public entrance at the front of the building has become overcrowded and long lines formed. Opening the rear entrance was an attempt to alleviate the logjam.
