3.7 Magnitude Earthquake Reported In East Texas
The United States Geological Survey reported that a 3.7 magnitude earthquake occurred today at 10:15 a.m. near Timpson, Texas.

The epicenter was reported as 1 mile west of Timpson, 24 miles northeast of Nacogdoches, 27 miles southeast of Henderson and 42 miles northeast of Lufkin.

There have been no immediate reports of problems or damage caused by the quake.

Julie Dutton, a geophysicist for U.S. Geological Survey, told CBS 19 that the earthquake was felt in nearby Garrison and as far away as Gladewater.
