Woman Severely Injured In Crash, But Child OK
A rollover accident was reported on Old Bullard Road and Loop 323 on Thursday night.
The crash happened around 8:50 p.m. when a Nissan Maxima turned left and hit a Ford Windstar van as it was traveling through the intersection, according to a news release issued by the Tyler Police Department.

Authorities said the driver and her child were pinned in their vehicle and had to be extracted by Tyler firefighters.
The parent of the child was transported to the hospital with severe injuries, but the child — who was strapped into a car seat — did not appear to be hurt, according to the release.

The driver of the Nissan was not injured in the accident and was cited for failure to yield the right of way.
