UPDATE: Rollover Accident On Old Bullard Sends Mother To Hospital

UPDATED 10:20 PM THURSDAY
A rollover accident was reported on Old Bullard Road and Loop 323 on Thursday night.

The crash happened around 8:50 p.m. when a Nissan Maxima turned left and hit a Ford Windstar van as it was traveling through the intersection, according to a news release issued by the Tyler Police Department.

Authorities said the driver and her child were pinned in their vehicle and had to be extracted by Tyler firefighters.

The parent of the child was transported to the hospital with severe injuries, but the child – who was strapped into a car seat -- did not appear to be hurt, according to the release.

The driver of the Nissan was not injured in the accident and was cited for failure to yield the right of way.

The crash was still under investigation.

A rollover accident was reported on Old Bullard Road and Loop 323 Thursday night.

A black car was turned on its side, pinning passengers including a baby.

Tyler police Sgt. Blake Lockhart said the crash happened when one car was turning left at the intersection and the other one was driving through.

The parent of the child was transported to the hospital and the child is expected to be OK.

The driver in the other car was not injured.

The crash was still under investigation.
