East Texas Boxer Wins First Golden Gloves Bout In Vegas

MESQUITE, Nev. — Tyler's Shamarian “Duke” Snider defeated Shandell Winters of Chicago in his first bout at the National Golden Gloves Tournament late Wednesday.
They were fighting in the 201-pound class.
Snider, who fights out the Troup Boxing Club and is coached by Shawn Vascocu and Candice Vascocu, received a first-round bye.
He will now fight Javonta Charles of Iowa on Thursday.
