Tyler DAR Chapter To Honor Service, Troops With Luncheon
The Mary Tyler Chapter, Daughters of American Revolution, is scheduled to meet at noon May 8 at Hollytree Country Club, 6700 Hollytree Drive, Regent Cheryl Way said.
The cost is $22. Lunch will be served. The program will include recognition of outstanding service. The chapter is sending boxes to troops in Afghanistan. Members recently met at Edom United Methodist Church and packed more than 30 boxes, and history students at The University of Texas at Tyler donated materials. Donations for the project can be sent to Mary Tyler Chapter, NSDAR, c/o Susan Newton, Treasurer, 13 Lilly Lane, Bullard, Texas, 75757-5701.
Chaplain Carol Cline will lead a service in memory of chapter members who died this year. They include: Bonnie Stanford Sulser, Joy White Willer, Mary Jo House Williamson and Christine Cox Atchison.
