Windy, Warm Today
High pressure over the southeastern U.S. and low pressure across the southern plains are producing strong winds again today. South winds 20 gusting to 30 mph will make Lake Wind Advisories likely for East Texas area lakes. The tight pressure gradient will loosen somewhat Friday and drop winds to 10 to 15 mph. Skies will be partly cloudy, but there is little to no chance of rain. High temperatures will be 8 to 10 degrees above normal in the mid- to upper-80s through Saturday. There will be a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms Sunday through Wednesday.
