Tyler Day Nursery To Present Story Book Dinner
The fourth annual Story Book Dinner benefiting Tyler Day Nursery will feature the popular children's book "Curious George."
The fundraiser will take place at 6 p.m. on Thursday at Marvin United Methodist Church's Pirtle Hall, 300 W. Erwin St., organizers announced.
Tickets cost $25.
A buffet supper will be catered by Bruno's Pizza and entertainment will feature Tyler Day Nursery 3- and 4-year-old children performing a skit based on the book, "Curious George Learns the Alphabet."
Plans for a facility expansion will be on display along with information on how additional classrooms will impact the Tyler Day Nursery community, said Jaquita Lee, executive director.
The fundraiser, celebrated during the Week of the Young Child, is intended to build awareness of Tyler Day Nursery.
"We are the oldest, licensed, not-for-profit childcare in the state of Texas," said Ms. Lee. "Tyler Day Nursery's mission is to provide quality childcare and preschool education for children of low-income and poverty-level families in a healthy, safe and loving environment.
