Pearson Appointed To VP Post At Trinity Mother Francis
Jeffrey A. Pearson was appointed vice president/chief information officer by Trinity Mother Frances Hospitals and Clinics.

Pearson is responsible for information technology and the launch of ConnectCare, powered by Epic, the health system's new comprehensive electronic health record, which begins in July. He began his career in information systems as an officer in the U.S. Air Force. He also worked for Procter & Gamble, Allfirst Bank and the University of Maryland Medical Center before joining Bon Secours Health System as the enterprise director of IS Architecture. He also served as vice president/chief information officer of Bon Secour in Richmond, Va.


EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Sears Methodist Retirement systems announced Jeff Boyce is the new executive director of Meadow Lake in Tyler.

Boyce was executive director at the Senior Lifestyle Corp. in Tyler from 2008 through March and has 10 years experience of operational and management experience in a variety of industries throughout North East Texas.


DIRECTOR
Bettye McDonald-Mitchell was appointed to the East Texas Council of Governments management team as the director of aging programs. She will be responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of a comprehensive, coordinated human service delivery system for nutrition and support services for seniors throughout the planning organization's 14-county region.

Mrs. McDonald-Mitchell has more than 30 years experience serving seniors in a wide variety of settings. She was CEO of Lifespan Care Solution Group, a Tyler company that provides training and consultation in management, leadership development, aging and disabilities, cultural diversity, long term care, protective services and strategic planning. She is also former director of the Texas Adult and Protective Services Program.


TYLER OFFICE
RS&H, one of the nation's leading facilities and infrastructure consulting firm continues to expand nationally with the opening of an office in Tyler.

The architectural, engineering, planning and environmental firm will offer services in aerospace and defense, aviation, corporate, education, health and science, public infrastructure and transportation. Dennis McAfee, an environmental specialist in the oil and gas industry in Tyler for 10 years, will serve as head of the office, which will serve the oil and gas, electric utility, coal mining, transportation, wetland mitigation banking, aviation and land development business sectors RS&H will host an open house reception from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at its new office at 100 E. Ferguson St., Suite 420. Nationwide, the firm's clients include NASA, the Texas Department of Transportation, Department of Defense and Wells Fargo.


BEST TO WORK FOR
Express Employment Professionals, the largest privately held staffing firm in North America, was named a Best Staffing Firm to Work for finalist by the Staffing Industry Analysts. More than 140 companies participated in the survey of their employees conducted by an individual research firm, Quantum Workplace. Staffing Industry Review sponsored the survey. The Tyler Express franchise, at 4603 Troup Highway, began in 1995 and serves the area with temporary help and direct hire employees in a variety of fields. Worldwide, Express put 335,000 people to work in 2011 and has more than 550 offices in three countries.


BRANDING
Edwin Holt, CEO of Holt Creative Group, will speak to the Association of Fundraising Professionals — East Texas Chapter Tuesday about branding and the challenges nonprofits face in a world filled with an abundance of information and competition.

The educational lunch, “What is Branding,” will be from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Hollytree Country Club, 6700 Hollytree Drive. Holt has been successful in branding some of the largest companies in America, including American Airlines and ExxonMobil.

BLOCK PARTY
Keller Williams Realty is hosting a block party from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday to raise money for KW Cares Charity, promote Keller Williams culture and give back to its clients. The family event, held at 6761 Old Jacksonville Highway, will include food, a silent auction, bake sale, fire trucks and police cars and a vendors' booth. There will also be voter registration and a political meet and greet, Carter BloodCare Mobile Unit, Ross Breast Cancer Center mammograms, the Humane Society of East Texas Adopt-a-Pet and kids activities.

Prudential Preferred Properties received the Incoming Broker-to-Broker Referral Award for being among the top four companies in the Prudential Real Estate Network for the percentage of incoming referrals, per sales professional, converted to close transactions.
