UPDATE: Man Killed This Morning Near Lindale Identified
The man killed this morning at 18385 County Road 442 in Smith County while working on his truck has been identified as James (Junior) York, 83.
Smith County Precinct 5 Justice of the Peace James Cowart said the man was lowering his truck off of ramps after changing the oil when he slipped and hit his head on the pavement. It is not clear whether or not, according to early reports, that the truck actually ran over him.
York was declared dead at the scene.
