Constable Dustin Rust Turns Self In To Smith County Jail

Smith County Precinct 3 Constable Dustin Rust turned himself in to the Smith County Jail Tuesday afternoon.
Rust was indicted by a grand jury for two felony indictments and one misdemeanor in a case involving a private security practice.

Rust walked into the jail smiling and waving.
"I'll see you when I come out," Rust said.
The grand jury indicted Rust following an investigation that began after he requested more funding from commissioners in 2011 to cover fuel costs.
