UPDATE: Police Arrest Man For Early Morning Shooting

A suspect in an early morning shooting in Tyler is in police custody.
Leon Luton, 26, of Flint, was arrested after officers and United States Marshals spotted him near John Tyler High School.
Luton is believed to be responsible for injuring a woman in an early-morning drive-by shooting.

Tyler Police Investigators have determined the identity of the suspect in the shooting that occurred at Martin Luther King and North Broadway early this morning.
The suspect is identified as Leon Lajuan Luton, 26, of Flint. Luton is wanted for two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. Bond was set at $200,000 each by Judge Kennedy.
Police have searched for Luton and have failed to locate him. If anyone has information about the whereabouts of Luton, you are urged to contact the Tyler Police Department, at 903-531-1000, or Crimestoppers at 903-597-CUFF (903-597-2833). Crimestoppers will pay up to $1,000 for information that leads to the arrest and charges filed against the suspects in this case or any felony case.
