2 Tylerites Killed, 4 Seriously Injured In Kansas Crash

The six men from Tyler who were in the vehicle were returning to Texas from Wyoming, where they had been working on a job for their employer, according to family members.

Two Tyler men were killed and four others injured after a Monday afternoon vehicle crash in Oakley, Kansas.
According to the Kansas Highway Patrol, the accident happened three miles east of Oakley shortly before 4 p.m. Monday.
The report states that a 2003 Ford pickup driven by 25-year-old Brandon Ljuann Gordan lost control on Interstate 70, crossed the median into the westbound lanes before being struck in the side by a 2000 Kenworth tractor-trailer driven by a 63-year-old Collyer, Kansas resident Allen Lee Gerstner.
Gordan and Marvin Ray Jones, 49 were both killed in the accident and four passengers were taken to local hospitals with disabling injuries.
Princeton L. Hudson, 26, Burrel B. Taylor, 37, Willie D. Jackson, 26 and Marquette A. Gates, 29, all of Tyler were injured in the crash.
Gerstner was transported to a local hospital and treated and released.
