Sheriff’s Debate To Air Until Election
Suddenlink Communications, the cable provider for Tyler and other parts of East Texas, will air the recent Smith County sheriff’s debate that was held at Liberty Hall.
Candidates Chris Green, Donn Rust and Larry Smith took part in the debate sponsored by KYTX CBS19, the Tyler Paper and Suddenlink Communications. Candidate Bobby Garmon was due to a prior engagement.

Suddenlink will air the hourlong debate continuously on Tuesdays and Thursdays on Cable channel 18 until the election with broadcasts starting this week.
The candidates, all Republicans, answered questions probing their qualifications, priorities and management styles.
The debate was moderated by CBS19 anchor Gillian Sheridan and Roy Maynard, the paper’s editorial writer. CBS 19’s Justin Earley served as timekeeper.
The debate was held April 3.
