TJC Men, Women Ease Past Laredo
BAYTOWN -- Tyler Junior College opened the Region XIV tennis tournament with a pair of lopsided victories over Laredo at Lee College.
The Apache Ladies (23-2) won 9-0, and the TJC men (14-4) prevailed 7-2.
Casey Bulls, a sophomore from Robert E. Lee, won her singles match 6-1, 6-0, for the Apache Ladies.
The TJC men won a wild match at No. 1 doubles. The teams split sets, with the Apaches winning a marathon tiebreaker in the first set.
