NEWS UPDATE: 12 Sent To Hospital Following City Bus-Truck Accident
At least 12 people were sent to a Tyler hospital with minor injuries after an 18-wheeler struck the back of a Tyler city bus, said Don Martin, Tyler police information officer.

None were believed to have suffered life-threatening injuries.


According to authorities on the scene the bus was at a stop at Garden Valley Road and Loop 323 at about 8:30 a.m., when it was struck by an 18-wheeler. Damage to the bus was minimal.

Initial reports indicated that 15 people were on board. Of those, 12 reported suffering injuries. Ten were sent by ambulance to local hospitals.
