Lee JV Beats Longview, 14-0
Robert E. Lee (1-1) scored twice in the first half and the defense did the rest, blanking Longview (0-1) in a 14-0 victory Thursday at Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium.
Lee quarterback Trent Ward completed 4 of 6 passes for 62 yards and rushed for a 1-yard touchdown. The rest of the offense was provided by tailbacks Hayden Tomlinson (23-132, 1 TD) and Henry McCuin (10-72).
Lee's defense forced two turnovers with Bryson Simon and Demarcus Turner notching interceptions while Donovan Reeed racked up double-digit tackles.
Lee will next face Dallas Kimball at 6 p.m. Thursday at TMF Rose Stadium.
