UT Tyler Sweeps Matches
UT Tyler swept two matches Friday in the Azalea Orthopedics UT Tyler Volleyball Invitational at the Herrington Patriot Center.

The Patriots won over Ottawa (Kan.), 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-23) and Texas College (25-8, 25-8, 25-9).

In the first match, standouts for UT Tyler were Liz Bartelson (10 kills, 4 digs), Kelsey Winn (nine kills) and Amanda Hanson (seven kills). Whitney Clements had 22 assists, while Cristy Meredith added 14. Clements also had four assists.

Against TC, Lana Low (8 kills), Winn (6 kills), Meredith (11 assists), Clements (11 assists) and Ashley Montalvo (nine kills).

Lee Falls To Boyd

McKINNEY -- The Robert E. Lee Lady Raiders fell to McKinney Boyd 3-0 Friday in a volleyball match.

Boyd won 25-7, 25-22, and 25-22. Leading the Lady Raiders were Sarah Sivertson (7 kills), Eva Story (12 digs) and Jennifer Menard (16 digs).

The Lady Raiders' JV also fell to Boyd in three games, 26-24, 22-25, and 25-23.
