TYLER -- Smith County Commissioners, regular meeting, 9 a.m., Courthouse Annex, 200 E. Ferguson. Receive presentation on possibility of creating a new refinance zone.

TYLER -- Smith County Commissioners, special meetings at 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m., both in Courthouse Annex, 200 E. Ferguson. At 1:30 p.m. for long-range planning; at 3:30 p.m. to discuss environmental crimes and license and weights programs.

ATHENS -- Athens City Council, regular meeting, 5:30 p.m., City Hall Annex.

CANTON -- Canton P&Z Commission, regular meeting, 6 p.m., city hall, 290 E. Tyler.

ATHENS -- Henderson County Commission, special meeting, 2 p.m., courthouse. Discuss budget.

RUSK -- Rusk ISD, regular meeting, 6 p.m. Administration Building, 203 E. Seventh.

PRICE -- Carlisle ISD, regular meeting, 7 p.m., Board Room. Consider purchasing bleachers for the football field.

BIG SANDY -- City Council, public hearing, 5:30 p.m., city hall, 100 N. Tyler. Consider adopting tax rate.

TROUP -- Troup City Council, 6:30 p.m., Jarvis Library.

CANTON -- Canton Economic Development Corp., regular meeting, 6 p.m., city hall, 290 E. Tyler.

WHITEHOUSE -- Whitehouse City Council, special meeting and workshop, 6 p.m., city hall, 311 E. Main St.

CANTON -- Van Zandt County Commission, regular meeting, 9 a.m., courthouse. Consider adopting tax rate.

GILMER -- Gilmer City Council, regular meeting, city hall, 110 Buffalo. Consider fundraising for K-9 unit.

MINEOLA -- Parks and Open Space Board, 5:30 p.m., Municipal Complex, 300 Greenville Highway. Discuss equestrian trail.

Tyler City Council TV

Tyler City Council meetings air at 3 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday on local government access cable channel 3. Tyler Planning and Zoning Commission meetings air at 3 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday on the same channel.

TISD TV

Tyler ISD Board of Trustees meetings air at 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month and are rebroadcast at 2 p.m. the following Saturday and 8 p.m. the following Sunday on TISD TV cable channel 19. Regular board meetings typically take place at the Jim Plyler Instructional Complex, 807 W. Glenwood Blvd.
