August 31: Angel At Target
ROSES: Please send a bouquet of roses to a customer at Target who paid for my purchases. I was checking out at Target and the total was $21.35. I reached in my purse to get my wallet, and to my chagrin, I left my wallet at home. I told the check out person I would be back to pay for my things.
The lady behind me heard what was happening and said she would like to pay for me.
I said "no, thank you, I would be back shortly with the money."
She replied she wanted to do something nice for someone today, and promptly laid down the cash.
I thanked her profusely and asked how I could repay her? She simply replied she would like it if I donated that amount to charity.
I would like her to know I have donated $25 to the East Texas Food Bank, and I am most thankful for one thing. My children were present and witnessed this kind act.
I was so grateful they were there and saw how kind, generous, and a loving perfect stranger can be and that God is present every day in our lives.
