  • TYLER -- Tyler Board of Adjustment, 9 a.m., city hall, 212 N. Bonner Ave.

  • MINEOLA -- Mineola City Council, budget, 5:30 p.m. Mineola Municipal Complex, 300 Greenville Highway, workshop and public hearing on proposed budget and tax rate.

  • LINDALE -- Lindale Economic Development Corp., 5:30 p.m., Kinzie Center, 912 Mt. Sylvan.

  • GLADEWATER -- Gladewater City Council, regular meeting, 6 p.m., city hall, 519 E. Broadway. Consider special use permit for museum and community building.

  • ATHENS -- Athens ISD, public hearing on budget and tax rate, 5:30 p.m., District Support Center, 104 Hawn St.; regular board meeting follows.

  • TYLER -- Tyler Junior College, 11 a.m., board room, White Administrative Services Center. Consideration of budget and tax rate. Consideration of changes to the 2008-09 college catalog. Work session at 10 a.m.


    • Friday, Aug. 22
  • QUITMAN -- Wood County Commissioners, regular session, 10 a.m., Courthouse. Discuss budget amendments.

  • GILMER -- Upshur County Commissioners, special meeting, 11:30 a.m., courthouse.


    • Monday, Aug. 25
  • TYLER -- Smith County Commissioners, public hearing on budget and tax rate, 5:30 p.m., Courthouse Annex, 200 E. Ferguson.

  • JACKSONVILLE -- Jacksonville ISD, budget hearing, 6:30 p.m., followed by regular meeting, Administration Building, 1547 Pine St.

  • PALESTINE -- Palestine City Council, public hearing on tax increase, 5:30 p.m., city hall.

  • TYLER -- Tyler Construction Board of Adjustment and Appeals, 9 a.m., Tyler Development Center, 423 W. Ferguson St.

  • KILGORE -- Kilgore City Council, 5:30 p.m., 815 N. Kilgore St.

    Tyler City Council TV

    Tyler City Council meetings air at 3 a.m. and 7 p.m. Sunday, Monday, Wednesday and Friday on local government access cable channel 3. Tyler Planning and Zoning Commission meetings air at 3 a.m. and 7 p.m. Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday on the same channel.


    TISD TV
    Tyler ISD Board of Trustees meetings air at 7 p.m. on the third Thursday of each month and are rebroadcast at 2 p.m. the following Saturday and 8 p.m. the following Sunday on TISD TV cable channel 19. Regular board meetings typically take place at the Jim Plyler Instructional Complex, 807 W. Glenwood Blvd.
