Aug. 19: Does This Fit?
RANT: Have you driven by the southeast corner of Paluxy and Shiloh lately? If so, you’ve seen a huge forested hillside totally denuded, an exact pattern of wooded acreage destroyed for condo/apartment construction next door. How does that fit with the beauty preservation plan of Tyler 21?
This is a pattern seen all over the city with new construction. “Lip service” for valuing, maintaining, and preserving trees, green spaces, and natural habitats for birds, eagles, hawks, owls, rabbits, and other small wildlife without appropriate city ordinances and enforcement is sheer hypocrisy!
Something needs to change; otherwise all the input, discussions, time spent in collaborative activity in an effort to make Tyler a viable community is for naught!
