Aug. 17: Fuel Recovery Fee
RANT: I noticed on Saturday, Aug. 9, a new city truck on Broadway. The driver was taking down signs from telephone poles, crumbling them and throwing them away.
Since it is against the rules to post signs on the telephone poles, why not issue a citation to the address on the sign, collect a fee and that would cover the increased fuel cost for the collection of illegal signs and other city programs?

Another idea, instead of tacking extra fuel charges on our water bills is to have trash pick-up once a week. Senior citizens like myself are on a fixed income and our bucket is running dry.
I am constantly looking for ways to save a dollar and it would be nice if the city would do the same.
After all it is our dollars that pay for city services.
