Aug. 18: Cut Ethanol Mandate
I congratulate Gov. Rick Perry on his attempt to get the EPA to cut the ethanol mandate in half.
The use of corn to produce ethanol is one of the worst things Congress has done, and they have done a lot of bad things. It takes more energy to produce ethanol than it delivers and it has increased the cost of food in the entire world.
The requirement of using ethanol is strictly to gain the favor of corn producing states.
It is a shame the majority of Congress won’t do what 75 percent of Americans want; allow drilling in the U.S.A. on areas that are now off limits.
