August 15: Right To Elect
I thought we lived in a county where the citizens had a right to elect who we wanted to office. Evidently the Republican Party has more of a right to tell us who we are going to vote for.

It simply amazes me the Republican Party did not seek insight from the citizens before placing a name on the ballot for constable, Precinct 2. The citizens have already spoken and made it clear we do not want Mr. Andy Dunklin to represent us as an elected official.

Where is the justice for us, the citizens of the precinct? The Republican Party did not do its homework on this decision. They had four weeks to check with citizens but evidently had already made up their minds to put an otherwise unelectable candidate in office on the Republican ticket. For the first time in more than 50 years I am ashamed to say I am a Republican.
