August 13: Intelligence Reports
I address a letter by Larry Pilgrim in the Aug. 9 Tyler Paper in which he implies Senator Barack Hussein Obama was privy to all of the intelligence reports on Iraq and WMDs prior to invasion, and judged that invasion was not warranted (as opposed to the majority of Democrat Senators).

This was misleading because Obama's job was in the Illinois General Assembly when the invasion took place March 18, 2003. Obama was sworn in to the U.S. Senate on Jan. 4, 2005. Therefore, he had no access to any classified data on Iraq before 2005 and obviously was not involved in any votes to invade. I just wanted to clear the record, and remove the blown smoke.
