Lively, Wylie Join Tyler Art Museum Development Team
The Tyler Museum of Art announced the hiring of Amy Lively and Caroline King Wylie as a development team that represents an expansion of its development office to meet the growing needs of its fundraising and community outreach efforts.

Mrs. Lively joins the staff as development officer responsible for major gifts. She has more than a decade of experience in public relations and fundraising. In 1996 she formed her own company, Tyler's Lively Creative Communications, after serving as West Coast public relations manager for Southwest Airlines and account executive for CBS 19.

She has been involved in charitable and volunteer work since relocating to Tyler. Her involvement includes Parents Anonymous of Tyler Inc., where she has served as board president since 2005; the Tyler Convention & Visitors Bureau, where she has been a board member for two years; Junior League of Tyler and the American Cancer Society.

Ms. Wylie joined as TMA's development coordinator for membership and special events.

The daughter of Bette King and the late Jack King Sr., she is a Tyler native who recently returned to her hometown after more than two decades of professional and nonprofit work in the Lubbock and Waco areas. Ms. Wylie was most recently president of the Lubbock Symphony Guild and a board member of organizations including the National Kidney Foundation and the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra.

ETFDA President
Chris Stewart, president and funeral director in charge for Stewart Family Funeral Home in Tyler, was recently elected to serve as president of the East Texas Funeral Directors Association. He was sworn in to serve on the association's board of directors at its 122nd Annual Convention in Fort Worth. The association represents approximately 800 members.

Employee Of Year
Lavonne Green, dietary supervisor at Pinehurst Alzheimer Special Care Center in Tyler, was chosen from employees across the firm to receive the Employee of the Year honor.

The award came from Pinehurst's parent company, Emeritus Senior Living, the third-largest assisted living community in the nation and owner of more than 300 communities.

Ms. Green was described by colleague Constance Daye as having "a great passion for helping seniors." She has been with Pinehurst for seven years.

Hispanic Awards
It's not too early to think ahead to the Hispanic business awards during September, Hispanic Heritage Month.

Although more event details will be forthcoming, the month will include presentation of the awards in a ceremony by the Hispanic Business Alliance and the Hispanic Business Forum.

Categories include Established Business (in business for at least five years), Hispanic Women-Owned Business, Micro Business (in business less than two years), Hispanic Professional of the Year, Hispanic Restaurant of the Year and Hispanic Contractor of the Year.

Nominations for award recipients can be sent to price@tylertexas.com. Deadline for submitting nominations is Sept. 8.
