Tyler Junior College Signs Roosevelt Quarterback
Tyler Junior College football coach Danny Palmer signed Dallas Roosevelt quarterback Vincent McNeil Jr. to a letter of intent Saturday, Charles Smith, TJC assistant athletic director, announced Monday.

McNeil is a dual-threat QB, according to Rivals.com.

His senior year for the Mustangs, McNeil passed for 2,058 yards and 35 touchdowns. He had only six interceptions. He also rushed for 1,626 yards and 19 TDs on 190 attempts. McNeil originally committed to LSU. He showed interesting Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Southern California, Texas, Texas A&M and Texas Tech.

The Apaches open the season Aug. 30 against Independence (Kan.) at Lindale High School’s Eagle Stadium.
