July 23: Obama Statement Irritates Tyler Reader
I cannot believe a person is running for president who is embarrassed by the American people.

Yes, I heard Sen. Barack Obama say, "It is embarrassing (to him) that Americans can't speak a second language, but people who come here can speak English."

Well, hello senator, English is our language and I for one do not need a foreign language as I'm not going to any of those countries where they hate us unless they need some kind of help.

Please understand I have no problem with people who speak one, two or three other languages. There is probably a need for linguists.

My personal preference would be that my tax dollars for education go toward teaching our children correct English grammar.
