ATHENS — The team of Brett Daniel, of Athens, and Cecil Commander, of Palestine, captured first place in the 2008 Pea Picker Member-Guest Golf Tournament Sunday at Athens Country Club.

The duo won the annual tournament for the third time.

There were two aces scored during the tournament. On Friday, Casey Knott had a hole-in-one on No. 14, while on Saturday Jeff Fulgham had hole-in-one on No. 16.

Other flight winners were: Gary McCauley-Mark Littlejohn (President’s); Bobby Knott-Casey Knott (First); Eric Smith-Brant Bennett (Second); Bill Elfarr-James McSpadden (Third); Jerry Perkins-Jeremy Perkins (Fourth); and Fernando Navarro-Charlie Ackerman (Fifth).
