Wharton Assumes Command
Air Force Lt. Col. Jeffery C. Wharton has assumed command of 412th Operations Support Squadron, Edwards Air Force Base, Rosamond, Calif.

Wharton, a commander, has served in the military for 19 years.

A graduate of Wills Point High School, he is the son of Myrna Wharton, of Wills Point.


Gaston Graduates From Training
Air Force Airman Jeffrey D. Gaston has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio.

He is the son of Gina Gaston of Canton.


ARRIVED FOR DUTY
Department of the Army Civilian John B. Green has arrived for duty at Fort Bragg, Fayetteville, N.C.

Green, a criminal intelligence analyst, is assigned to the U.S. Army Criminal Investigations Command.

He is the son of Donald F. Green and Joyce W. Dorrycott, of San Antonio. His wife, Kathy, is the daughter of Rose L. Seguin, of Canton.


GRADUATED
Army Pvt. Justin L. Emery, Army Pvt. Talicia L. London, Army Pvt. Johnathon X. Berard Hall, Army Pvt. Teresa D. Caldwell, Army Pvt. Brandan L. Powell, Army Pvt. Jeremy D. Stafford and Army Pvt. Alejandro R. Oviedo have graduated from basic combat training at Fort Jackson, Columbia, S.C.

London, a graduate of Lindale High School, is the daughter of Victoria Choice, of Lindale.

Hall, a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, is the grandson of Molly Ivory-Bowie, of Tyler.

Caldwell, daughter of Pamela Fomby, of Tyler, is a graduate of John Tyler High School.

Powell is the son of Rex Powell, of Houston, and grandson of Charles Powell, of Tyler.

Stafford is the son of Lawanda Ellison, of White-house, and Frank Stafford of Odessa. He is a graduate of Whitehouse High School.

Oviedo is the son of Tomas Oviedo and Eusebia Reynaga, of Van. He is a graduate of Van High School.

Army Pfc. Dustin J. Hoffman has graduated from basic infantry training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.

Hoffman is the grandson of Earl Hoffman, of Mount Enterprise.

Army Pvt. Hollis A. Taylor and Army Pfc. Robert J. Harris graduated from the Direct Fire Infantryman One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga. The training consists of Basic Combat Training and Advanced Individual Training.

Taylor is the son of Scherie and stepson of David Johnson, of Palestine. He is a graduate of Neches High School.

Harris is the son of Bunny K. Duncan, of Overton. He is a graduate of Leverett’s Chapel High School, Laird Hill.
