Whitehouse Hosts State Softball Tournament Next Week
Whitehouse will play host to the Texas Teenage Softball Association (TTAS) Midget State Tournament next week at the Whitehouse Baseball/Softball Complex.

There will be 20 10 and Under teams and approximately 300 players participating in this double elimination event. The overall winner will be crowned TTAS Midget Girls State Champion.

Earning a state tourney bid from host Whitehouse are the Breakers and the Stars. Other East Texas teams that qualified are: Bullard Heat, Chapel Hill Hurricanes, East Texas girls Softball League, Lindale Shock, Malakoff Wild Kats, Lindale Wildkatz, Rusk Riptide and Rusk Xtreme.

Games will begin at 5 p.m. Monday at the Whitehouse Baseball/Softball Complex. They are scheduled for 5, 7 and 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday. The Championship game is slated for Thursday, July 24.

Directions: The ballpark is located approximately 1.5 miles east of the main intersection in Whitehouse, just off Hwy 346 on CR 2133. Take Hwy 110 south to Whitehouse and make a left at the stop light at 346. Proceed on 346 past the high school and after the road begins to veer right, CR 2133 is on the left. Make at left on 2133 and the ballpark is there.
