Two Guilty Of Possessing Crack Cocaine In Tyler

Two men pleaded guilty in federal court on Thursday to possessing crack cocaine in Tyler.
Donald Arnold Eubanks, 42, Irving, and Charles Dewayne Davis, 44, Tyler, were charged in a seven-count indictment with conspiracy to possess and distribute 50 grams or more of crack cocaine.
In U.S. Magistrate Judge Judith Guthrie’s court, the men each pleaded guilty to possessing with the intent to distribute 87 grams of crack in Tyler on Feb. 26. They face 10 years to life in prison.
The men and an unidentified person allegedly sold small amounts of cocaine to a confidential informant out of two houses in Tyler on four occasions from Oct. 26 to Feb. 25.
On Feb. 26, the two defendants possessed 87 grams of crack, along with two sets of digital scales, a pistol, rifle and revolver, ammunition and $1,000 in cash, the indictment states.
The men were also charged with maintaining a residence on West Cochran Street to store, distribute or use crack cocaine; being felons in possession of the firearms; and possessing the firearms during a drug-trafficking crime.
Eubanks was convicted in Dallas County of possessing a controlled substance in 2003, while Davis was convicted in Dallas County of delivering a controlled substance in 1986.
