July 17: Keeping Our Guns
For 40 years the Democrats have been trying to take away our guns and they finally got their comeuppance on June 26 by the Supreme Court.

As elated as I was with the decision, it saddened me to learn only five of the nine justices are able to read and understand plain English. Since our Second Amendment rights are protected by merely one vote in the Supreme Court, it is imperative we elect John McCain as president this fall.

Even though Barack Obama says he supports the Second Amendment, his record shows he voted for every anti-gun bill to come before the Illinois Legislature; and Illinois is one of the most anti-gun states in the Union.

Given Obama's anti-gun track record, coupled with his history of being a poor judge of people in general and friends in particular (Rev. Wright, Louis Farrakhan, William Ayers, Bernadette Dohrn, et al) it terrifies me to think who he might appoint to the Supreme Court. A gun owner voting for Obama would be akin to a chicken voting for Colonel Sanders.
