East Texas Sports Calendar
July 14-18 — Trinity Valley Community College Basketball Camp, July 14-18, Cardinal Gym, Athens. Open to girls and boys grades 2-12 from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. daily. Cost is $65 per camper or $55 if two or more players from same family attend. Contact TVCC coach Patrick Smith at 903-675-6218.

July 17-20 —

38th Texas State Open at The Cascades Golf Club, 4511 Briarwood Road, Tyler. Tickets at Tyler Ford and The Cascades Pro Shop.

July 19 —

Ark-La-Tex Men’s Softball Classic, a Class C tournament, at Hinsley Park in Longview. It is an ASA sanctioned event with certified umpires. Entry fee is $150 with prizes for the top three teams. Contact Mike Cranford at 903-237-9919 or 903-297-8604 prior to Thursday, July 17.

The Whitehouse Baseball/Softball League is playing host to the Texas Teen-Age Baseball-Softball Association’s Midget Girls (10 & Under) State Tournament at Whitehouse/Baseball Softball Complex.
