July 10: Why Can't We Learn?
Upon reading an article in the Dallas paper about an illegal Mexican family moving back to Mexico because of the lack of jobs and the cost of living created by our economy, I wondered why we cannot learn from a third-rate country.

Before this family could move back to Mexico, they had to get a transfer paper for their children so they could attend school there.

We accept any school-age child and burden our school districts with added costs of providing Spanish-speaking personnel, books and free lunch. Why do we not require the illegals have a transfer paper and then require the illegals to obtain proper work permits?

While waiting for our government to stop illegal immigration, I guess I need to start learning Spanish.
