Youth Group Mission Rehabbing Homes in Longview
LONGVIEW — World Changers, a youth group that rehabilitate homes in economically distressed neighborhoods, is in Longview this week.
Approximately 211 junior high and high school volunteers are working with the City of Longview’s Parks and Recreation Division and Housing/Community Development Block Grant Program, the city announced.
“We are so thrilled to be a part of this great mission that will benefit many citizens of Longview,” said Laura Hill, Director of Community Services for the city. “You can’t beat community partnerships that are committed to helping and serving others.”
Teenagers are taking part in home improvement and cleanup tasks and are being housed at Pine Tree High School.
