Flint Man, Pet to Compete in Upcoming Reality Show
Local pet trainer and dog enthusiast Bill McFarlin and his Brittany Spaniel “Star” of Flint were hand-picked as one of the 12 teams from a nationwide search set to compete for the title of “Greatest American Dog,” hosted by Zoologist Jarod Miller, premiering on CBS Thursday, July 10.

The program will be aired locally on Channel 19 at 7 p.m.

In this new CBS series, The dog-eat-dog competition revolves around 12 dogs and their owners as they live together and compete in a series of challenges designed to measure each owners’ ability to train their dogs and a shot at the ultimate prize $250,000.

“Being selected as a cast member of 'Greatest American Dog' was an experience I will never forget.” McFarlin said in a prepared statement. “I learned a lot about myself and I hope made my family proud. I rolled the dice and no matter what happens now, I feel I can hold my head high.”

Bill McFarlin currently resides in Flint, Texas with his wife Sherrie. The McFarlins, in conjunction with their son Bryan, own McFarlin’s Cleaner Times, a commercial / residential mobile pressure washing business.
