July 6: Action Sought
When two Smith County employees were accused of misusing county road and bridge equipment, materials and doing work on private property, the commissioners of Smith County were informed of this matter and immediately began looking into the complaint, which the sheriff's department is now investigating.

Cherokee County Precinct 3 commissioner and his foreman have five complaints of illegal use of county equipment, materials and labor on private property. The Cherokee County district attorney has had these complains for 26 months with no investigation of the alleged abuse of taxpayers' money. There are more abuses of equipment, materials and labor that has not been filed with the sheriff's department.

Congratulations to the voters of Smith County for your choice of good people who you elected into office who will make sure your tax money is being spent as it was intended when you paid your county taxes.
