Area Students Make College Deans' Lists
n Allison Klingsick, 2006 Arp High School Salutatorian, was named to the Dean’s Honor Roll of Scholars at the University of North Texas for the spring semester. Only full-time students with a GPA of 3.5 or higher receive the honor.

  • Social Science major Jillian Bender, of Tyler, and Criminal Justice major Mary Blake, of Whitehouse, both were named to the Dean’s List at Harding University for the spring semester. . Only full-time students with a GPA of 3.65 or higher receive the honor.

  • Carly Squyres, and undecided major, and Chemical Engineering major Joel David Vincent, both of Tyler, were named to the University of Arkansas Dean’s List and the Chancellor’s List for the spring semester.

  • Robert Dougherty, of Tyler, was named to the Dean’s Law List.

  • Tarleton State University named Distinguished Students for the spring semester. Those included are freshmen or sophomore students who have a minimum 3.25 GPA and no grade lower than a C, and juniors and seniors with a minimum of 3.5 GPA with no grade lower than a C.

  • They are: Sarah Roberts, of Flint, pre-veterinary medicine; Samuel Lackey, of Whitehouse, exercise and sports studies; and Elizabeth Pritchett, of Wills Point, theater.
